Long lines but the staff was moving quick and once ordered our drinks came fast. The sugar cookies alone are worth a stop. They are really thick and not dry or over cooked at all. Plus they are complimented with a very yummy frosting. The Dr. Pepper with a shot of coconut and vanilla was very good if you like sweet soda.

This is a must STOP! Don't let the long line discourage you from stopping in. It's a sign of how awesome they are! I always order a dirty dr pepper but their snow cones and sugar cookies are just as amazing.

My wife freakin loves this place! Cookies are the best, smoothies with milk yum and the diet coke ahhhhhh! A must stop when in St. George

The main reason I go to Swig is the mango Mountain Dew. It's a delicious and fairly simple concoction, just Mountain Dew with some mango puree, and yet the inept staff always finds a way to mess it up. First off, you will NEVER get a MMD that has the puree actually mixed with the drink...it's always sitting at the bottom. I usually end up going home and mixing it together myself. That's not even that bad though it's the other mess ups that really upset me. Just the last time I was there they didn't fill up the drink all the way! I felt it was a little light and looked inside only to see about two inches of air at the top. Unacceptable. I had to go back and tell them to fill it up all the way. The only way I can imagine this happening is while they were filling the cup the MD bubbled up, and they were just too lazy to wait for the bubbles to subside and fill the drink up completely. Just think about how lazy that is for a second. And the time before that they gave me a MMD, but forgot the mango so I ended up paying $1.50 for just a Mountain Dew. And every single order is a struggle. My order is usually pretty short, just a Mountain Dew, with mango, puree, light ice. As I'm saying these things, however, I NEVER get any acknowledgement that my order is being heard. As soon as you start talking every single Swig girl will go completely silent, put on a glazed expression, and start tapping on the touchscreen display. Apparently it takes a ton of concentration to input my order, so much so that I can't even tell if they are listening to the entire thing. I usually double check that they heard "light ice", and even then I will not get light ice half the time. All in all Swig makes some great drinks, that's the only reason I'm giving it two stars and the only reason I continue going there, but I'd go A LOT MORE if I didn't have to deal with the dull and neglectful staff. There is a prevailing culture of laziness and carelessness at Swig that needs to change. If Swig had no staff and was just a giant vending machine it would be improved 100%.

I live in St George and have given this place 3 tries...VERY overrated and actually a scam. On all visits I ordered their 100% fruit smoothies and had a very hard time finding ANY fruit in these drinks. It is ice, juice (or syrup) and perhaps a tablespoon of some fruit puree. Icy, sicky-sweet, 100% ARTIFICIAL. I'm sorry to be a downer, but they ought to call their smoothies 'slushies' because that is all they are. $4 slushies at that. Go to The Orange Peel or Emerald City if you want real smoothies. I feel I was had and will never return. Can't understand the long lines at all- guess it's the usual low Utah standard.

St George is an fascinating place, the people, the food, the people.... we stopped here for a what is called a dirty diet coke( coke with coconut flavoring) and got so much more. A frozen cookie and a look at an amazing sub-culture in St George Utah. Kids in the back of pick up trucks a stray dog in the parking lot and a shizzz load of kids in the store verbally abusing their mom. To be honest you could probably get all of this stuff at the grocery store, however, its worth stopping to have a look around, its a crazy place.

The soda I get is root beer with half and half and coconut cream. I really like it. But I don't love the service. Every Time that I've gone during the day, the girls in the window act like they hate their job, and annoyed that any customers are even there. The girl tonight only asked what we would like to order AFTER she finished with her phone. It's a bummer.

No matter how much I want to hate this place, because so many love it, I have to say, I really enjoy it every time. This time I had the dizzle. It was awesome. I think you should try it. It is fruity and refreshing. The service is fine and they serve Coke.

Stopped here on a road trip because we had heard about it. It was 2 days before Christmas & they were super busy. My husband had a flavored drink. He said it was good. We also got 4 assorted cookies. ALL frozen yikes..seriously. Wasn't looking for Frozen cookies. Stopped a week later hoping for the really great cookies everyone was raving about. Not busy this day. Once again cookies FROZEN solid. Yuck. Won't stop again.

  • Jim W.

It was good... but - the problem for me - I had a sugar cookie from another location close by... and it blew me away.... but worth a stop. Loved the "dirty" dr pepper... refreshing!

So fun to try this place and now I have to stop every time we are in St. George or driving through. First time person behind us recommended the Magic Dr Pepper & so I gave it try even though it sounded kinda weird - Dr Pepper, Chocolate and Coconut. It tasted sooooo good! Would definitely recommend it! My kids like ordering all kinds of crazy things - Strawberry Mountain Dew. And the sugar cookies are Yum-O! Always expect a line, but it goes pretty fast the times I've been there.

Love it!!!! Awesome sprite zero w/ berry purée, ice is delish!! Then there are the cookies! Yummy I was a huge fan of the sugar cookie but it's met its match! Peanut butter cookie meets chocolate frosting trumps sugar cookie any day. My sister swears by the dirty diet coke (diet coke w coconut extract). They have lots of combos to choose from. They also have snow cones and other delights. Make sure you stop when you see the colorful blue and yellow building w the little buddy on it. They are poppin up all over Utah! Thank goodness that 4 hr drive for a sprite zero purée is lonnnnggggg!

I love this place! Every time I come to St George I stop in and I live bringing new people. It's almost always busy but they are super fast. A must for anyone passing through, visiting the area, or local regulars.

There is one of these paces in hurricane too I understand. My son was attending a boarding school in hurricane and all of the kids said this was the place to go, so we tried it while we were visiting. We heard so much about how great their cookies and drinks were that sadly we were a little disappointed, but I think it may be just like when you hear so much about a movie that you think it will be life changing, then realize that it is just really good. The cookies were really, really good and the drinks were ok for me, but my wife and son thought they were the best ever. Maybe you just have to try a couple of suggestions until you find the one that hits you. The downsides to me were the long lines and it seemed a little pricey for what it was, but it was fun to try something new while we were visiting. My wife said she thought it was a "mormon starbucks" since mormons dont drink coffee. There are a lot of mormons in Phoenix too, maybe they will open one here too?

Meh, too much hype. The sugar cookies are the best thing this place has going for them and yes I gave them a fair shot by visiting both locations multiple times over the course of a few days, trying a different drink every time. My favorite would be the Mt Dew with Mango Puree and of course the sugar cookie (if they haven't run out of them). Overall, an OK place to get a drink but a great place to get a sugar cookie so I'll meet in the middle and give them 3 stars.

Went for shaved ice. Teenager comes out to take order. Writes down our order. Hand the teenager at payment window the order and she looks at it and says, "what did you order?". We drive around to order pickup. Sit there for 10 minutes while cars behind us are getting drinks. Finally I stick my head in window and ask if something is wrong and another teen says, "yeah, the shaved I've machine was broken." Finally shaved ice is here and it is crap! No flavor, huge chunks. Total waste of time, rotten ordering system and horrid customer service. Kids threw away shaved ice.

Get the sugar cookies and nothing else. The drink mixes are bleh in my opinion. Sugar cookies are great, the only problem I have with them is they pull them out of a freezer. How old are the cookies? To be honest, I don't care because they still are delicious.

    (3)
  • Doug K.

We love this drink shop. I love the dirty dr pepper and my wife the dirty coke zero. Our kids usually get a blue raspberry 7-up. It's well worth the short detour off the freeway as we drive by St. George.

    (5)
  • Liz N.

The Dirty Dr Pepper was much better than I expected. Enjoyed the Magical as well with the addition of chocolate, though it took some getting used too. I would go back for the drinks. On the other hand, I think the sugar cookies are overrated. They were good but nothing extra special.

    (4)
  • Kenny E.

Best sugar cookies I've ever had! That alone means this place deserves better than a three star average rating! You do have to wait in line if you don't want to get out of your car... Otherwise you can park and walk right up to the window for service. Definitely recommend stopping by, even if its just for the sugar cookie!

    (5)
  • Brooke D.

I LOVE Swig! I have classes just down the street, so when I want a Swig, I can just walk up and get one. I personally like the Mango Puree Dr. Pepper. But every time I go, I try to get something new. The sugar cookies are delicious, and the tigers blood avalanche shaved ice is wonderful. But the service can be a little spotty, it kind of depends on which location you go to. But I think that location on Tabernacle is the best swig.

  • McKinley Y.

I'm sincerely disappointed. We have been traveling over 900 miles and have heard amazing things about this place. We arrive at 10:45pm on a Saturday, they say they are open until 11:00pm as we pull up the lights are all out and the employees are driving away. So that mean they closed a minimum of 30mins prior to the actual closing time. It's my pet peeve when companies close earlier then when they have listed. Not sure when we'll be able to stop by to try it now. Ps I would give it zero stars if I could!!!

  • Jacob C.

The cookies are good (the oatmeal chocolate chip is the best), the ice cream is better, and the smoothies are absolutely awful. Good luck finding any fruit in the "100% Fruit Frozen Smoothies" -- they all taste pretty much the same, like icy banana water. In fact, their smoothies are the worst I've ever had anywhere. For some reason, I keep trying them because in my countless trips there (my kids insist) I've had two that were actually decent, but that's a success rate of like 10%. The cookies don't disappoint, but if you want a smoothie, go elsewhere (anywhere else!).

    (2)
  • Travis P.

Horrible service and the drinks are gross every time we go, plus very pricey! I would not recommend this place to anyone looking to quench their thirst in the hot St. George sun! Just a bunch of college kids working that don't even know their own store's menu. I asked for a Forbidden Fruit smoothie and the girl couldn't tell me what fruits were in the drink. I always see this place packed (since I live right around the corner from it) and my wife and I do not see what all the fuss is about. This place is a must skip in my book!

    (1)
  • Lesley G.

Every time I head to St George I pit stop here. I think it's great. The peach pear apricot smoothie is to die for. Plus, there are very few places you can get a smoothie at a drive thru. Sometimes as a mom of small kids, all you want to do is get out of the house and taking the children to the store is not appealing. Driving through, getting a treat, and leaving the kids properly restrained is a little slice of heaven!! LOL

    (5)
  • Kat L.

I don't get it?! A constant long line for expensive mediocre drinks. The cookie was good, but I'm not buying into all the hype on this place!

    (1)
  • Jessica H.

I have NO IDEA what the hype is surrounding this place. The drive-thru line was 12+ deep so we decided to park and go to the walk-up window. I ordered 6 shaved ices (all different flavors) and my sis-in-law ordered 8 of the 'famous' sugar cookies. The shaved ice was a blasphemous attempt at a true shaved ice. I wouldn't even give it the credit of being a glorified sno-cone.The ice was "chunky" and not "shaved" at all. The flavors for the shaved ice were flavorless and gross. We didn't even finish them. Total fail in my book. The sugar cookies were just OK. They were very thick (which if you like them that way is a good thing) and the icing was very tasty. Again, just OK overall. It baffles the mind as to why anyone would rave about this place. I see nothing overly special about it. I could make better shaved ice with my $10 machine I got on clearance at Target with my homeade kool-aid based syrups and could probably whip up some sugar cookies that would easily match or outdo those being sold for a buck fifty a piece. Next time, we'll skip the cookies and head down the road to Sno-shack for the real deal.

  • Arnee D.

Came for the bubble tea, left with 2 cups of yellow slushy with no flavor and 4 tapioca pearls that crunched like they had been sitting out all day. I was only in town for the week hoping this would live up to its hype but take a pass on the tea.

    (1)
  • Mar R.

I agree with the first reviewer - way too much hype. Waited about 10 minutes in the drive-thru line for 2 sugar cookies and a "dirty" Dr. Pepper. The cookies were a bit too thick, and since Swig keeps them chilled, it made it all that much more unpleasant to take a bite. I am obsessed with Dr. Pepper, and the "dirty" version didn't do much for me. I don't see these guys lasting very long.

  • Crush H.

This place fits the ever-so-strangely common Utah Euphoria: overhyped averageness. I'm speaking just of the cookies here since I didn't try anything else, but I heard the dirty soft drinks fell into the same 'meh' category from someone in the group. I tried the sugar, choco chip, and dirt ball cookies. Their composition and looks remind me of Play Doh. They almost look like they're not cooked. Of the three cookies, I thought the chocolate chip was the best, with the sugar cookie my least favorite. Of all the cookies I've had in my life, I wouldn't put these in my top 10 list.

    (2)
  • Stephanie B.

The sugar cookie was amazing! Dirty drinks are a fun way to have a soda. The snow cones were huge and delicious.

    (4)
  • Jacob F.

Sugar cookie, who seriously craves a sugar cookie. The have mixed sodas so Utahns can pretend they are familiar with what a mixed drink is. Any attempt to make the locals feel normal just ends up looking desperate. Not sure when this fad will end but for now it sure has a "cult" following, if you catch my drift.

  • Christie L.

The location in Hurricane always seems dead, but this location here in St George always has a long line when I pass by. I decided to stop in and try it out. After looking over the menu I ordered a 100% "Strawberry Banana Smoothie" priced at $4 and was pretty disappointed. The smoothie tasted watered down and flavorless. The straw was super fat and pink and the only *cool* thing about it. I found it to be a waste of money and not worth waiting in line for. Aside from smoothies they also offer shaved ice, cookies, doughnuts, ice cream and bubble teas, but I wont be back to try them. They have a couple chairs outside and you can go inside to place your order or use the drive-thru.

  • Andrea M.

Oh Utah and it's non-alcoholic drink obsession. Im one of those caffeine obsessed diet coke drinkers so I love these places. The drive-thru line was long but it moved very fast. The girl who helped us at the window was professional and helpful. We ordered ... Magical-Dr Pepper +chocolate + coconut Bloody Wild- Mt Dew + strawberry purée + mango purée Diet Coke + strawberry purée All were delicious but the Bloody Wild was AMAZING Sugar cookies were good but nothing amazing.

    (4)
  • Tyler D.

The cookies are great! The sodas are a little too sweet for my taste. The hot chocolate is good too. Worth the trip from Vegas

    (3)
  • Ryan J.

I've got some 'words of wisdom' to all of those Utah housewives who offer their daily patronage at the altar of sugar cookies and soda. There isn't any redemption to be found in the sweet cane. If your addiction is this severe save yourself the money and just go to your pantry and dump a 1/4 cup of granulated sugar down your throat.

  • Dave N.

Since my initial review, some personal investigation brought to light for me the dishonest and despicable dealings of this company so I no longer will support such unethical behavior. The promise of money truly does corrupt, even in little St George. I opt to vote with my wallet and I have recommended a boycott of any dealings with The Swig or any affiliate of the ownership thereof.

    (1)
  • Jen P.

I wanted these cookies to be good. We ordered one of each cookie. They are all below average. They are thick, and the texture feels grainy and partially cooked. Bummer, could've been so yummy if they knew how to properly bake! 2 starts for the ease of the drive in, and the attempt.

    (2)
  • Cody B.

Heard about Swig from a lot of people, finally decided to give it a whirl for drinks and cookies. Drinks were great. Dirty Dr Pepper is a winner, the sugar cookies are also delicious. The chocolate chip oatmeal cookies were very average. Fun joint!

    (5)
  • Bryan P.

The oatmeal chocolate chip cookie is no bueno. I'm still a fan of the regular though I'm a fan of anywhere that has great Dr Pepper!

    (3)
  • Miriam P.

Meh. For a menu and concept so simple, sure seems like a mess. The line of cars backing up traffic on a busy road didn't seem to make sense. Much like the rest of the place. The workers seemed to be on different pages not knowing what each was doing. Yeah, they're super nice workers, but the guy who took our money, had no idea what the girl who wrote "CC" on our order form meant when she wrote "CC". (We informed him she meant "chocolate chip" cookie.) Also, our drinks came out a mess, dripping with syrup and soda down the side. It just seems like simple execution, but they were lazy and sloppy for people serving cookies and drinks. If there's no line, I would make another purchase from Swig again, but if there's a line, it won't be worth the wait for me.

I was turned on to this Place about a Year ago, They have the best sugar cookies, Hands Down. For the Price of what you pay for, I usually order about 2 dozen fresh frosted Sugar Cookies everytime i walk into Swig's The cookies a made just right and the Frosting yum. Perfect combination there. I have tried a few of there smoothies and there pretty good as well. The customer service has alway been nice and Friendly. There are always Pretty girls working there. which is nice.

  • Mitzi S.

Love the bloody wild! And how fast the line moves..

    (5)
  • Christina D.

I LOVE me some Mango Mountain Dew! Cookies are good too. If you want to add some flavor to your regular drink, swig can do it! Their smoothies ate pretty good too. Their prices are decent too.

    (5)
  • Ein W.

Yes, the queue up isn't fun, and can seem a bit congested, but if you can muster up a bit of patience - it's just not THAT BAD - and really is just a first world problem and not the end of the world. The service is friendly and the treats are great at an affordable price. We're out-of-towners and have been here a couple times. We've become big fans of the Swig in Bountiful Utah, too.

    (4)
  • Adam B.

In Utah there is niche for great soft drinks. Swig nails it! And just like the other reviews, you will not find a better sugar cookie anywhere.

    (5)
  • Jared P.

This Place has really good Smoothies and drinks it is a must Stop.

    (5)
  • Alexandra C.

Oh.my .word. I love this place! Ever since my family who lives in Utah told me about this fine drink establishment, I was excited to try it out. I ordered a dirty dr. pepper (coconut and lime) and a sugar cookie. Delicious! The drink was so cheap, and so refreshing! Many places in Utah are known for adding flavors to sodas, but this place is fabulous. I don't know why one would get a smoothie here, to each their own I guess. But the sodas and sugar cookies are where its at!

    (5)
  • Tanner M.

I have cravings for this place like every day! get the wild and a sugar cookie and you won't be disappointed.

  • Cindy D.

If you never been north of Vegas, I HIGHLY recommend that you visit St George!!! Why? Because I said so! LOL. But really a little hour and a half drive, and driving through the Gorge is beautiful!!! That's for another review... I heard about Swig from friends that have Diet Coke addictions... and sugar cookie addictions My favorite is probably a dirty diet coke - coconut syrup diet coke and limes . They have fountain sodas, smoothies, chai tea... Bubble teas- shaved ice you name it. The lines tend to wrap around the little house, trust me it's worth it for the drive alone!! I wish we had one in Vegas

  • Shawna T.

I live in CA and am visiting St George. My husband's friend requested I stop by here on my way back to CA to pick up some of these cookies. I thought I'd be nice, even though I thought it was very strange. I got a dozen cookies and I wanted a drink for myself. I chose a much needed energy drink. White Monster with..... Mango Purée. Why not, sounded kind of yum.... IT WAS SO GOOD. They are closed tomorrow (Sunday, gotta respect that) or I would go again on my way home for the same drink. I LOVE that they will mix in a purée. Dreaming of mango purée right now, as I type this at 3am. Want a diet coke w strawberry purée. Or something else creative. The cookies are so filling, just get one. Too sweet! But good nonetheless. Just eat it with a cold glass of milk. And only do all this after visiting Cafe Rio for lunch (Pork Barbacoa..)

  • Em M.

I live in CA, and I always make it a point to stop by Swig when I go through St. George. I've also visited their Bountiful location. On a friend's recommendation, I tried the sugar cookie and a dirty diet coke (with lime and coconut). They were both so good that I've never ordered anything else for myself. Also, the service is always friendly and quick. So why not 5 stars? This time I ordered the mango bango bubble tea for my 3 year old. It's a mango smoothie with boba in it, her usual favorite at Boba places. The smoothie was okay, but the boba was the worst I've ever had. Boba is supposed to have a soft, chewy texture, like marshmallows, but this boba was more like a mealy apple......kind of gross. My kid only drank a bit of her smoothie, and frankly I don't want any either. :/ Bottom line? Stay far away from the boba. Definitely go here, and get the awesome dirty sodas and cookies. I really wish there were a place to get dirty cokes near my home!
